Originally, my plan was to take my lunch outside at the park, as I started doing last week, however it's been a mostly overcast day, so I decided to stay in the office.

It's Monday, so here we are starting the work week over again. My day usually goes something like this:

7:00am (or earlier): arrive at work
Noon (or slightly later): lunch time!
1:00pm: back to work
5:00pm (or later): leave work

We're allowed to work as much overtime as we want, however I'm not allowed to be at the office by myself, and my status being less than a year in this position, I'm not completely self-sufficient to work OT a lot, but I still manage to get some overtime here and there.

What do I do? Oh, right. I haven't been here in over a year. Well, let me tell you!

I am a drafter for the surveying department of the engineering firm I work at. I make maps, basically. I really enjoy the work, and sometimes I get to go out into the field as well!

(On the left, below the concrete ledge, you can see the ~40in. pipe I crawled through to make it to the curb inlet you see on the right. It was about 7 feet down.)

In other, unrelated news: I might go back to school in the fall. I haven't decided for sure yet. My two options (currently) are: actually move to BR and continue working where I am currently, or move back to Lafayette, and go to school. The procrastinator in me still hasn't decided, although I'll need to know for sure by July at the absolute latest. We are half way to June, so I still have a little bit of time to think it over...

Another thing! I am considering changing my blog layout (although I really love this one...) the only problem is...I can't remember the website I used to find it! I'm sure a quick google search will prove useful...

until next time!
