Perhaps a stranger she could love. (part six)

Music was playing faintly in the background. Nariya was sitting on her bed, cross-legged, with her eyes shut. Sitting behind her was Katerina, who was brushing the other girl's hair. She hummed along with the music as she continually passed the brush through long sable locks. Nariya sighed with content. Katerina set the brush aside, then wrapped her arms around Nariya and pulled her close in a tight embrace.

"What do you think they're doing?" Katerina asked quietly.

"Hm?" Nariya was so relaxed and lost in thought that she hadn't heard Katerina.

"I mean Aleksandra and Viktor. I wonder what they're doing. What they're talking about."

"Oh." Nariya sighed. She broke free of Katerina's embrace, then laid down, resting her head in Katerina's lap. Nariya stared up into her eyes and smiled.

"I'm not really sure...but do you know what I'm doing?"

"Being lazy?" Katerina retorted.

"No..." Nariya started, "I'm thinking a really beautiful girl, and I'm having a hard time caring about anyone else or what they're doing."

"Wh-who?" Katerina asked, her cheeks burning a bright red.

"I'm thinking about you." Nariya said, then sat up. She adjusted her position so she could face Katerina. She smiled coyly, then leaned in close. Nariya's lips grazed Katerina's ear, giving her goosebumps all over.

"You are beautiful." Nariya repeated the sentiment before leaning back slightly, her lips now only millimeters away from Katerina's, who was grabbing fistfuls of blanket as her eyes fixed on Nariya's. In doing this, she hadn't noticed Nariya's hand moving behind her until she felt it on the back of her head. Katerina closed her eyes as she felt Nariya pulling her close. Their lips touched, and Nariya kissed her. After a few moments, Katerina pulled away.

"Nariya!" she exclaimed. Her cheeks were even more red than before, and Nariya seemed very pleased.

"Yes?" she asked with a devilish grin.

"I...will you kiss me again?"

Nariya nodded, then gently pushed Katerina so she'd lay down on the bed. Nariya lowered herself on top of Katerina and began kissing her again. Amidst the kissing and the music, a persistent knocking at the door went unnoticed by the two girls.
